Combining social epidemiology and policy analysis approaches, I have consistently devoted to research concerning job stress, psychosocial hazards at work, social determinants of health, and occupational safety and health (OSH) policies.  My research focuses on two themes.  The first theme is to advance measurement tools and apply these tools in epidemiologic research, while the second theme is to examine legal frameworks, policies, regulations and practices concerning occupational safety and health.  In the second research theme, our research team have carried out a series of studies, aiming to examine legal frameworks, policies, regulations and practices of various OSH subsystems, including the workers’ compensation system, the system of occupational health services, the monitoring and reporting systems for occupational injuries and diseases, and regulations concerning working hours and general OSH duties.
